Trinidad to Glasgow

I write speculative fiction that explores the moral and metaphysical questions emerging at the edge of technological advancement.
My journey began on the twin-island nation of Trinidad and Tobago, where I was raised and educated before moving to the United Kingdom to pursue a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with a specialisation in Aeronautics. While completing my studies at the University of Glasgow, I started work on my debut novel, Excursion Through Time, a hard sci-fi epic shaped by philosophical inquiry and a fascination with the unseen forces that govern reality.
It all started one ordinary day in primary school, when my principal walked into a rowdy classroom, clearly fed up, and told us to “do something more productive, like write a book.” Little did he know, that offhand comment would unlock something in me I didn’t know was there. A spark ignited. A doorway opened. From that moment, storytelling became more than an outlet; it became a calling.
Science fiction
To me, science fiction is more than imagination. It’s a space to examine the human condition through the lens of “what if.” My narratives explore consciousness, the implications of emerging technologies, the boundaries between free will and determinism, and humanity’s place in the cosmos.
Whether I’m exploring the remnants of a dystopia or the potential of egalitarian societies built on futuristic technologies, I write with the belief that speculative fiction should provoke, reflect and inspire.
“The best science fiction isn’t about predicting the future, it’s about illuminating the present through the lens of what might be.”
Today I write across genres. My sci-fi probes the outer edges of human consciousness, mixing scientific speculation with philosophical depth. My manga stories are kinetic, charged with adrenaline, emotional intensity and the fierce pursuit of purpose. And through folkloric fantasy I draw on old Caribbean folklore tales, Carnival characters and oral traditions, and transform them into magical, memory-rich worlds that honour heritage and explore identity across generations.
Influences
My writing draws from a deep interest in physics, history, psychology and social systems. I often blend hard science with deeply personal narratives, and my Caribbean heritage shapes the texture, rhythm and mythology of my worlds. These books left a mark:

- Quantum Mechanics: The Theoretical MinimumLeonard Susskind and Art Friedman
